"KNOW THE NATIVE CULTURE" EXERCISE

Asked the students to talk about their native place and its culture. The questions were like:

1. What is the main occupation of the people there?

2. Which are the main institutions there?

3. Why is the place historically/culturally/religiously/politically important ?

4. Which are the interesting sights for visitors?

5. Do you have any special dish/festival/community celebrations/rituals/plants?

6. Who are the famous leaders/singers/actors/personalities from that place?

7. How did the place get its name?

8. When did you start living there?

9. Where is this place exactly located?

10. Whose contribution has been the greatest in making the place famous?
