Think in English - OPEN LETTER

An open letter to students/parents/teachers/policy makers in education.

Dear friends,
This letter is regarding an effective method to teach English at schools.
A few suggestions on this topic:
Why can't we teach English in schools in a different way ie., not as a subject but a tool to think?
Why can't we teach our children how to think in English classes...ie., How to "Think in English"?

THINKING TO SPEAK...?
What is stopping us from doing this in our schools, colleges and universities? Isn't the purpose of education also to make our students ie., our next generation better, creative and active thinkers?
Why can't our teachers and educators focus on "Thinking in English" as a goal which each student should be able to achieve before he/she starts working, earning and living?
Why can't we expand and empower thinking/thought process of our children with the help of English language?
Why can't English become a language of thinking when we need it the most...during speech, interaction and discussion?
Why can't we think in English about ourselves, our homes, schools, nature, place and people?
Why do we have to learn/teach text books for the sole purpose of passing exams year after year? Why can't we learn something for life, a lifeskill, something that stays with us and serves us for a lifetime ?
What is stopping us from learning/teaching to "Think in English"? If this is the best method to learn and practice English language most effectively and effortlessly then why can't we start right now?
So let's train our children to "Think in English" so that they become good thinkers and communicators who can give better speeches, do interactions and initiate discussions for a better/peaceful/beautiful world for all living beings.

With hopes and prayers
Yours truly
Vinod Kaliyath
