EC COMFORT ZONE

What is the opposite of comfort? No, I don't want to make you uncomfortable by asking questions like this. The point here is that thinking happens when we are outside our zones/spaces/areas of comfort. That's why Mahatma Gandhi always used to put himself outside comfort zones and embraced "poverty". Our brain has been wired to work creatively when there is some kind of discomfort, when we are struggling, when there is some uncertainty, when there are some questions unanswered. When there is no challenge, the mind just goes to sleep. So to remain in a state of mindfulness/resourcefulness some kind of discomfort is a necessity.
