Scripts - School Themes 2

VIOLENCE IN CLASSROOM

SCENE 1
A: I was absent yesterday.  Can you tell me what was taught in Social Studies period?
B: It was very violent and frightening.  I can't even think about it.
C: I think the teacher was in a very bad mood yesterday.
D: Yes, she beat us without any mercy. She shouted at us violently. She even tried to bully us into doing things her way.

SCENE 2
Child Right Activist: I am coming from the Department of Children's Welfare. Do you have any complaints about any teachers?
A: Our teacher who teaches Social Studies often beats us.
B: She makes the class very frightening.
C: We are afraid of even telling about the violent behaviour of the teacher.
D:Thank you. I will talk to the teacher.

SCENE 3
A: I was again absent yesterday. How was the Social Studies class?
B: Ah! It was very different and special.
C: Our teacher treated us very politely.  We were really surprised.
D: We should thank the Child Right Activist. He made the teacher realise her mistake.


NOISE POLLUTION

SCENE 1
A: I can't study in our classroom. It's so noisy.
B: The noise of the traffic is very distracting.
C: Even teachers are not able to focus on the topic because of the horns of the passing vehicles and their noise.

SCENE 2
Class Teacher: There is a good news. Your classes are now shifted to upstairs. So let us go to our new classroom. All of you come with me.

SCENE 3
A: Now it's so good to be in the new classroom.
B: Yes, I like our new classroom very much.
C: Now there is complete silence when the class is going on.
D: I feel like a very good student.

WATER POLLUTION

SCENE 1

A: How long should we have to suffer this injustice?
B: It's our right to study without any distraction.
C: Yes, I agree with you.  The polluted water in the pond near our school is threatening our future in this school.
D: Yeah, the stinking smell, the disease causing flies and the demoralizing atmosphere - all are responsible for our worries about the pond.

SCENE 2

A: I have an idea to solve this problem.
B: Wow! What's it? Tell us more about it.
C: I am very curious to know how we as students can make our school life better.
D: I know A will come up with something wonderful so tell us what your plan is.
A: First let us ask our teachers and the Principal to clean the pond and then using chemicals,completely make the pond sterilised.  Then we will stop the water which is polluting the pond and divert it.

SCENE 3

A: Now how beautiful our school is!
B: Yeah, it's so nice to study and play in so clean and safe environment.
C:The pond water has become a natural habitat for fish and other aquatic creatures.
D:Thanks to our Biology and Chemistry teachers.  They did a miracle.


PLASTIC FIRE

SCENE 1

A: Yesterday the smoke from the plastic fire made my eyes wet with tears.
B: Oh, it was horrible. I couldn't even keep my head straight.
C: I think if we had stayed a bit longer in the classroom when the plastic was burning we would have gone mad.
D: Thank God, our teacher took us all to the playground.

SCENE 2

PA: Sir, some students have come to meet you. They are from Aiyathan school which is in Calicut.
Collector: Ask them to come in. I'm waiting.
Student leader: Sir, please help us. We can't suffer this any more. The burning of plastic outside our school is causing us grave health problems.
Collector: Don't worry. I'm with you. I will look into the whole issue. I promise.

SCENE 3

A: Ha, What a relief! Now there won't be any plastic fires in future.
B: Yeah, we have nothing to worry.
C: Now we can all study well and enjoy our classes.
D:Let's thank our collector in our hearts for banning the plastic fires within the school premises.

LIVING WITH HARTALS

Situation 1

Doctor: I have done the check up. Your grandfather needs to be admitted to hospital tomorrow itself.
Ashok: OK Sir, We'll bring him to your hospital tomorrow by 10 am.

Situation 2

Driver: Some people are blocking the road. We can't go further.
Ashok: Let's see.  We'll talk to them. I think they are hartal supporters.

Situation 3

H1: Today is hartal. Nobody can drive on the road.
H2: You have to go back.
Ashok: I know but my grandfather is in a very serious condition. He is a heart patient. If he is not admitted today he may not be able to survive. He may die. I am sure you understand my problem.
H1 and H2: OK, we think it's a serious issue. You are permitted to go.
